You are making your way through traffic and are becoming frustrated with the slow progress. Suddenly, you spot a parked automobile that has plants shooting out of its windscreen and bonnet. Talk about making our cars “greener”!

Growing a garden in or on these conveyances can be beneficial in many ways. First, you can find a good use for your set of wheels which has seen better days. Second, you can pursue your passion for gardening even if you do not have a yard. Third, you are positively contributing to the efforts of conserving the environment. Finally, you can beautify your community’s surroundings when you park your four-wheeled landscape on the streets of your neighbourhood.

So how can you plant flowers, shrubs, grass, and other vegetation in or on your vehicle? First, you should design your landscaping project. Do you want to place roses in your boot? Or would you prefer to have a patch of cactus on your bonnet? Make sure to select plants that can survive in your climate. Another consideration is how you can support the additional weight and provide proper drainage for watering.

After you plan, it is time to prepare your car. Take out the passenger seats and all the other plastic and rubber components that are usually found inside your automobile. Next, you should prepare a wooden framework to box in the garden soil. Then, it is time to sow, and finally, you can enjoy watching your blooms grow on your “green” ride.
